MPX Construction, Inc is committed to provide quality service, by providing expertise, excellent customer service and attention to detail in every project. We specialize in custom home building from remodels to building new homes and pride ourselves in making every project special and unique. We understand that having a good relationship and understanding between the owner, contractor, and all trades involved is fundamental in making a vision of a dream a reality come true.

The company was founded by Martin Prideaux who was born in New Zealand where he started his construction career. He has been in the construction industry for over 34 years and started as a cabinet maker and office partition builder in 1986. Two years later he was apprenticed to a custom home builder, Jenkin Construction. This training consisted of 4 years of hands on training and the required coursework to take the trade certificate exam. After passing the the exam, Martin had his New Zealand license issued and learned New Zealand building issues, codes and built custom homes in Auckland as a Superintendent for Hudson Builders.

In 1995 Martin decided to move to California where his father worked and lived. Starting as a carpenter, Martin soon was promoted to a Superintendent position and then to Project Manager. After working for nine years for a known company in Santa Barbara he decided to get his contractors license and start MPX Construction. Martin’s objective at MPX Construction is to work closely with clients and assist them with the design and plan the direction of the project. He can also recommend you needed resources like; architects, engineers, landscapers, interior designers, and other needed construction trades if required to accomplish your dream project.

The MPX staff consists of experienced employees in the construction industry. The crew is versatile and can complete a range of tasks from concrete, drainage, waterproofing, framing and finish carpentry (including installing windows and doors). Subcontractors in different trades who are also involved in the completion of the project usually work under MPX supervision. Subcontractors that works with MPX Construction have proven to be knowledgeable and have worked and successfully completed previous projects.

We are a local company and serve the areas of Santa Barbara and Ventura County. Many of our projects have been completed in Santa Barbara, Montecito, Summerland, Hope Ranch, Carpinteria, and Ventura.
